Bereavement Ministry:
Now that major concerns about COVID 19 have lessened and the official amalgamation of center-city parishes has taken place, the Basilica parish will re-activate its bereavement teams to serve parish families grieving the death of a loved one.
The Bereavement Ministry is a strong sign of our solidarity and support for our families in their time of grief and loss. Two members of this Ministry meet with the family to help them prepare for a funeral Mass or Liturgy to be celebrated in the Basilica. If requested by the family, the team can lead a Prayer Vigil at the funeral home.
Our parish urgently needs additional volunteers to help offer this Ministry which is such a vital expression of our parish mission.
